Inland Building Construction Companies, Inc. was founded by Larry Hyder, who is a native of Southern California. While working at a roofing company Larry realized he wanted to start his own company and was eager to gain as much experience as he could. In 1978, after being a carpenter for six years, he and two other partners opened the doors to Inland Acoustics & Insulation Company. At that time they joined the Carpenters Union and began furnishing and installing acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, wall panels, and building insulation. Larry believed he could face any new challenge that lied ahead.

From a young age Larry has always been an entrepreneur. His years of experience in many different aspects of construction, ability to listen to others with wisdom, along with his entrepreneurship has enabled him to undertake any project with perseverance. One of Larry’s philosophies and favorite saying is “there is nothing we can’t do.” This belief has enabled him to pursue many trades in the construction industry and is why Inland Acoustics has evolved from a ceiling contractor into general contracting. Inland Building Construction Companies, Inc. is now a uniquely diverse contractor whose sales are 20 to 25 million annually.

Larry has been married to his beautiful wife for 44 years, has 4 daughters, and 10 grandchildren of which only 2 are a boy….go figure, and he couldn’t ask for anything more! All of his daughters have had the privilege to work at the office and one of his daughters is now Vice President and have been humbled by the opportunity and learning experience they’ve had to work beside him. Larry has always loved being outdoors and in his leisure time enjoys horseback riding, fly-fishing, taking road trips, and boating.
